Privacy Policy

Lantern (“we,” “us”) provides educational quizzes, articles, and a provider directory for people navigating perimenopause and menopause. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have about it.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the site and to send the things you’ve asked for:
- Quiz answers. The choices you make in a quiz, used to show your result. We don’t ask for your name to take a quiz.
- Email address. Only if you ask for a full quiz report or subscribe to the newsletter — two separate, separately-consented actions. We don’t add you to one because you signed up for the other.
- Postal code. Used only to show nearby providers in the Find Care tool. We don’t store it beyond your session or attach it to your email address.
- Basic usage data. Standard, aggregated analytics (pages viewed, general location at the country/region level) to understand what’s useful and what isn’t. This isn’t tied to your identity.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your information, to anyone, ever.
- We don’t share your quiz answers or email with the providers listed in Find Care. If you choose to connect with one, that conversation happens directly between you and them.
- We don’t use your information to provide medical advice or a diagnosis — Lantern is educational only. See our Terms of Service for more on this.
Research survey
From time to time I run a short survey to learn what women need during perimenopause and menopause. This section covers that survey.
What I collect. Your age range, where you live, the changes you’ve noticed, and your experience with healthcare. If you choose to share your email, I also collect that.
Why. To understand what women need and decide what to build. Your email is used only to contact you about a follow-up chat or early access, and only if you said yes to that.
Who sees it. Only me. I don’t sell or share individual answers. Anything I publish is combined, with no names or emails.
Where it’s kept. Answers are collected and stored in Tally.
How long. Answers are kept for 12 months after you submit them, then deleted. If you shared your email, I delete it after 6 months, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices. You can skip any question. You can ask me to delete your answers or email at any time at hello@herlantern.com.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are helpful. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don’t build an advertising profile of you.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, or to delete it, at any time — see Contact below.
Children’s privacy
Lantern is intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
